The US Open 9 Ball Championship ranks among the most sought-after titles in nine ball pool. It is held every year and attracts more than 1,000 spectators. 64 competitors will share a prize fund totaling $148,000. A $500 entry fee is required for the event.

There are several notable names who have been crowned champions in the US Open 9 Ball Championship. Earl Strickland, Steve Mizerak, and Mike Sigel have all walked away with the title. Efren "The Magician", Reyes, is the pocket billiards player who has had the greatest success. In his career, he has won one U.S. Open Championship and one World Championship.

He was also a World Teams Championship Champion. This championship was revived in Austria earlier last year. In the past, Earl Strickland as well as Kurt DeKlerck were both awarded national titles. In the past 20 years, however, the most prominent names have been overtaken by Allen Hopkins and Efren "The Magician”Reyes.

Reyes is a great player in both straight pool and one pocket billiards. In 1999, he won the World 9-Ball Championship and the US Open. He has two more major titles to his name.


Buddy Hall is the most famous 9 ball name. Hall has won back to back US Open titles. Because of this, Hall's talent has been recognized. He has also been praised by his fans. He was an outstanding player at the Shreveport 9-ball game in the 1970s.

Tanvee, a nine-year old Indian girl from Hyderabad, began playing nine-ball seven years ago. He has been working out with Billiards Education Foundation coach Roy Pastor. On Monday, he will participate in the Predator World Junior 9 Ball Championship.
