Rules of Bar Pool

pool rules

Make sure you are familiar with the rules of bar pool before you play. You should know the rules of 8-ball, Rotation and Double tapping as well as Assigning solids and stripes. This will ensure everyone enjoys the game. Make sure you learn how to play eight-ball correctly. This will make it easier for you to win.

8-ball

The rules for eight-ball pool are different from those used in professional pool games. These 8-ball pool rules were designed for the average player and not professionals. The rules don't require you to learn fifteen pages of complicated rules to play a game. Instead, they will help you understand the basic pool game.

No color-based racking is allowed for the eight-ball game. This version of the game requires that the 8 ball be the frontmost of three center balls. Most people put the one infront. You can also lose a game turn if you miss a shot or make a mistake when you are making a ball. You are also not required to call straight-in shots or touch a rail while making a shot.

Double tap

Double tapping in barpool rules refers the ability of a player to double-tap on an objectball by positioning the cueball near the object ball, and then aiming at the object. A cueball is closer to an object when it is less then an inch from it. It is also called "sharking".

Assigning solids or strips

Assigning solids or stripes to bar pools rules is a common way of defining the style of a game. Solids and Stripes are the most common pool games. They are variations of eight ball. A game of 8 ball uses a cue ball to call the shots.

Official pool rules also prohibit hitting opponent's objectball first. The turn ends when a player has taken a striped object ball. A double hit is also when the player hits the cue balls twice in one stroke. This is called a foul.

Etiquette

There are many rules that apply to pool playing at a pub. Each bar will have a slightly different set of rules, so make sure you ask before you play. It is also a good idea to inquire if any rules will be in force for the next round. If there are special rules, it is best to adhere to them. Everyone can have fun and not cause any harm.

It is important that you remember that WPA's "official rules" don't include "dirty swimming pools." Smart pool is the type of shot that's not dirty. However, some people consider defensive shots dirty. People also view shots that are deliberately scratched as unethical.
