Rules for the Valley National 8-Ball League

People who enjoy pool will be familiar with the Valley National 8-Ball League Association. This association has over 100, 000 members and hosts a variety of weekly leagues in more than 400 cities. It has grown to be the world's biggest amateur pool league with 36 members and 36 countries. VNEA has a huge amusement business and generates tons of revenue. In addition to playing in local leagues, players also compete in the Valley National 8-Ball League Association world championships. These championships are held each year from May 27 through June 5.

Valley National 8-Ball League Association members can play in leagues based purely on their ability. Every league has a captain who collects league fees and keeps score sheets. The captain coordinates team activities and makes sure that everyone is familiar with the rules. The captain is also responsible for scoring and helping the team prepare for events.

The VNEA is known for its promotion of good sportsmanship. VNEA members vote on the Sportsmanship Award and have awarded players the Sportsmanship Award. The league promotes business at its sponsoring sites. VNEA members can access assistance through the operator network. LeagueSMART offers software, increased revenue, and table control. The league also provides a variety of league materials, including score sheets, table markers, envelopes, and other supplies.


VNEA Pool Leagues are a friendly competition that allows players to compete against other league members in round robin format matches. Players are required to play on 7 by 3.5 ft "bar box" coin-operated pool tables, which are smaller than 9 by 4.5 ft regulation tables. VNEA leagues frequently organize individual tournaments for players who are not looking to play in a team.

In the past, the VNEA honored pool league players for their contributions. Caela Gibson has been an active participant in the league since its conception in 1999. She has racked up numerous titles at the VNEA World Championships. She has won multiple tournament titles, including Singles, Team events and Women’s Regular 8-Ball singles. She has been an active advocate for the VNEA of Colorado. She has also been a key fundraiser for Gene Pool league over the past two year. She has also held numerous benefit tournaments for cancer research and street kids.

Shane Bloomberg, another pool player, has a long and impressive record in the VNEA. He is the grandson of Jeanie & Gary Bloomberg. Shane has been a member of VNEA since the age nine. He has become one of most respected pool players worldwide. He is a regular contender in the Pro Tour, and is expected to be named Player of the Decade in 2020.
