Dafabet will once again be the title sponsor of the World Pool Masters. The online sports betting operator is a partner with a host of high-profile sports brands, including Celtic FC, Norwich City FC, Durham County Cricket Team, and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet sponsors the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It previously served as title sponsor of the World Pool Masters in 2017 and 2019.

Gibraltar will host the 2020 World Pool Masters. This tournament will feature 24 top players from around the world for a $100,000 prize. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers can purchase tickets for the tournament on Monday, 12/12, while the general public can purchase tickets on Tuesday 10/12. David Alcaide, last year's champion will defend his title against a stellar field of players.

Dafabet Master of Pool

Dafabet has extended its title sponsorship deal for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will be held from 22 to 25 Mai 2019 in Gibraltar. The company was the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017-2018. Dafabet has also signed other sponsorship deals. In the past, Dafabet has partnered both with LaLiga's football tournament and with Durham's Sussex cricket side.

Filler started the sport at age seven. He was already competing in the national level. At age twenty, he made his Mosconi Cup debut and represented Europe at the event. After his Mosconi Cup appearance he won the China Open nine-ball tournament and European Pool Championship (10-ball). In the final, he defeated Italian Carlo Biado to win his first world championship. He won the World Pool Masters and also the Mosconi Cup, World Cup of Pool, as well as the US Open Pool Championship.

Lo Ho-sum

Lo Hosum, the first Hong Kong player to make it to the World Pool Masters finals, expressed concerns over a recent budget cut. He is still relatively unknown outside his home country despite his recent success in the sport. Lo, a wild-card entry into the Gibraltar tournament was successful in a string matches that led to him reaching the final. In the quarterfinals he beat Shane Van Boening. However, he lost the final to Joshua Filler. They were tied at six before Lo's heroics ended the match.
