How to Make a Stun Shot Pool

pool playing

Having a good stun shot in pool is a skill you need to master. It can be the difference of winning or losing. There are many different shots and each has its own rules. You cannot simply hit the ball. You must hit the ball hard. The better your chances of it getting pocketed, the harder you hit it.

A stun shot refers to a shot that requires a strong hit. In a straight pool game, this means the cue ball has to travel straight in, and not veer off course. This is often achieved by putting a jack up, or elevating the butt end of the cue.

A "break" is a shot that is made at the last OB of a straight pool game. There are several different types of break shots. Some are designed to help you escape trouble while others are to help make it easier for you to score. One such is the golden break, or the golden pocket.

Another option is the breakout shot, also known as break-out. This type of shot is a good way to score a quick shot when the ball cluster is out of position. Your shot might be lucky enough to cause an opponent to lose his composure and get thrown off the table. A good hit often results in an OB that remains on the table, making the job harder.

However, a "break" is not the only way to score a win. Other ways to do the same thing include the following:

Grade "A" shot is one that is highly likely to succeed. A good hit can strike the OB first and then a second hit can take the OB.

Fancy shot - This is a difficult skill that requires lots of practice and a couple props. This requires a fast, precise stroke, known as a J stroke. The "J" stroke is not straight like a jab strike. It's curved in the same way as a pendulum. The cue ball can be rolled in a jelly roll which is also beneficial to the shooter.

Fancy-looking is another name for a fancy shot. Flight is a fancy-looking shot. It is not necessarily the best, but it is certainly the most impressive. Normally, a flight is a low percentage shot, such as a top/bottom spin or a flyer.

Stun shot. Although not as glamorous as other types shot, a good stun shot is vital. It's always a good idea have it on hand. Your opponent could easily win the game.

The jelly roll, the stun shot and the nip drawing are all other common names for stun shots. Which one is the most important?

A nip drawing is a good idea in the pool world because it prevents the CB jumping off the table. The follow-through is minimal, so a nip stroke can be a bit more difficult.
