
Ralph Greenleaf is a passionate billiards player who started playing just a few years back. He has taken part in at least three tournaments of cushion billiards and was a top-10 player in the Illinois 3-cushion billiards tourney last month. He has been attending a local club for billiards in the Twin Cities each month.
Nguyen Queyet Nguyen, Tran Quyetchien, and Tran Qyet Nguyen are the top ranked billiards gamers in Vietnam. These two players are among the top ten in the world. Both players are currently ranked in the top eight, with Tran Quyet Chien ranked number seven. Both players are defending champions in the tournament. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked at 29. Jeremy Bury of France is ranked 18
The next tournament in Vietnam will be the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup, which will be held on December 20-22 in Seoul. The tournament will see eight top Vietnamese players competing. The total prize amount will be around 160,000 USD. Other events and tournaments will be held throughout year.

The United States Billiard Association (USBA) is the official governing body for carom billiards in the United States. Each year, the National Championship culminates in a series events organized by The USBA. The USA will be represented at the Pan-American Championship by the top two National Championship players.
The three tournaments of cushion billiards at Madison 3-Cushion Billiards club were highly competitive and closely contested. The tournament saw two flights with six players each. The tournament was handicapped. Therefore, the semi finals were won by the five best players in each flight. The top 12 players will each receive $7,400. Bruce Venzke (the cue game legend) was the tournament director.
UMB (Union of Billiards and Carom Billiards), the world's official governing body of 3-cushion, sponsored the tournament. UMB also organizes regular tournaments each year. A number of upcoming events will be displayed on the UMB Turnier Schedule.
This tournament was held on the southern province of Binh Duong. The tournament featured eight teams that battled over three days. The top two teams will move on to the semi finals. The third and fourth places will go to the quarterfinals. The final round will consist of single elimination. The Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion Billiobilliards Tournament winner will receive a cash award of $20,000. This is the first appearance of a Vietnamese representative in the semi-finals.

3-Cushion Billiards Tournament might be new, but it has grown in popularity throughout the world. It has also been featured in the animated Disney short film Donald in Mathmagic Land. It was also featured as a character in Seven Billiard Tables 2007, a Spanish film that won the Goya Award.
